Margaret Goldie

We all know to be aware of breaches to the therapeutic frame, and that sometimes these may be engendered by the therapist as much as by the client. How can we recognise boundary breaches when they come along, and what should we do about them? And what if we are being asked in some way to act on behalf of the client, and that seems like the right thing to do – then what? And would we tell our supervisor?

Some case material will be presented – and then be prepared to discuss some clinical examples of your own, how you handled them and whether (in retrospect) you might do anything differently – or not.
